RESPONSIBILITIES: Network Security & Firewall Management Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise firewalls to secure the corporate and manufacturing networks. Manage and administer OPNsense firewall solutions, including rule creation, traffic shaping, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS), and secure VPN tunnel setups. Continuously monitor network traffic for anomalies, ensuring strict adherence to network security best practices. Infrastructure & Server Operations Manage LAN/WAN network equipment, including routers, managed switches, and wireless access points. Manage day-to-day server operations (Windows/Linux environments), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies. Monitor network performance and server health to ensure maximum uptime for both administrative systems and production line equipment. Perform routine system backups, firmware updates, and disaster recovery testing. IT Support Provide timely Level 1 and Level 2 IT support for hardware, software, and network issues for both office staff and manufacturing floor operators. Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for industrial devices, scanners, and workstations on the production floor. Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, firewall policies, IT assets, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Cloud Infrastructure (Advantage) Assist in evaluating, designing, and maintaining cloud-based workloads and integrations. Note: While daily operations are heavily on-premise, your input and design experience will be highly valued as we modernize and scale our infrastructure. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. 1 to 2 years of proven, hands-on experience in IT Support, Network Infrastructure, and Server Operations. Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Required: Hands-on experience with firewall setup and network security management, specifically utilizing OPNsense . Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols). Experience managing Windows Server environments and virtualization technologies. Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware (PCs, printers, factory floor devices) and software. Soft Skills: Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks to minimize production downtime, and communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical staff. Experience or foundational knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure setup and design (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or related platforms) will be an added advantage Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Security+/Network+, OPNsense/pfSense certifications) will be an added advantage
