Power BI specialist (6mths)

We are looking for a BI specialist to join our client's fast-growing team. Responsibilities: Develop, enhance and maintain BI solutions, including data models, reports, dashboards and analytics applications. Analyse business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting and analytical needs into effective BI solutions and actionable insights. Perform data analysis and ensure data quality by identifying trends, patterns and anomalies, and implementing data validation and integrity checks. Monitor and support daily BI operations, including data pipelines, ETL processes, reports and dashboards, to ensure data availability, accuracy and timely delivery of business information. Investigate and resolve data and reporting issues by performing root cause analysis, following established SOPs and escalation procedures, and coordinating with relevant teams to implement corrective actions. Optimise and maintain BI platforms and documentation, including performance tuning, system enhancements, SOPs, data dictionaries and support procedures, while staying updated on emerging BI tools and technologies. Requirements: Possess a recognized university degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Big Data Analytics, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in BI development, data analysis, and analytics platform management. Experience with Azure Power Platform and analytics platforms. Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, Python, data warehousing, and ETL processes. Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, service quality and operational excellence. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics is an advantage. Certification in BI tools or data management is highly preferable.
