About the role We are seeking a Java Developer with 2–4 years of professional experience to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In this on-site, 12-month contract role, you will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications while collaborating closely with technical teams and stakeholders. 1 year contract role (Extendable or convert to perm based on Performance) Contratual Bonus after 1 year Key responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services. Develop backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC. Participate in the design and development of microservices and distributed applications. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services. Work with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle for application development and data management. Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices. Support application performance analysis, optimization, and performance tuning activities. Collaborate with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Support application deployment and CI/CD activities as required. About you Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any field English proficiency suitable for a professional working environment 2–4 years of professional experience in Java development Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems Familiarity with commonly used middleware technologies Experience working with relational databases, particularly MySQL and/or Oracle Good understanding of REST APIs and backend application development
