About the Role Support Engineer is responsible for day-to-day operations, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT infrastructure and endpoint computing environments. This role provides technical leadership for incident management, problem resolution, service delivery, and operational excellence across Windows-based servers, virtualization platforms, Active Directory services, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks, Switches, and Firewall appliances. Key Responsibilities Oversee maintenance of client’s IT equipment, ensuring operational functionality. Install server operating systems, system management software, and utilities in compliance with security guidelines. Provide support for server operating systems, software, and utilities, including patch & version upgrades. Configure server operating systems, including initial setup, modification of configuration files, and access control. Administer operating system file systems, including volume and directory management, file system modifications, and permissions. Manage OS security measures, including password enablement, adherence to security processes, and synchronization of security information among servers. Provide associated documentation and inform about security fixes/patches, testing OS patches/security fixes/patches, and coordinating hardware maintenance with vendors. Responsible for leading activities related to Network, Firewall and ICT maintenance. Monitor and ensure optimal Servers, Storage, Network, Firewall and ICT performance, availability and reliability. Update knowledge base articles for common issues for project team future support. Responsible for continuously updating knowledge by conducting training to end users when needed. Prepare document for servers and network configurations, diagrams, procedures, incident reports and monthly performance reports. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments. Technical knowledge of: Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs) Firewall concepts (rules, NAT, policies, zones, VPN, malware, access control) Backup Technologies (Veeam, NetBackup, TSM) VMWare, Vsphere, H3C HCI, Nutanix, Hyper V Experience in firmware upgrade and network maintenance procedures Relevant certifications are an advantage (e.g VMware, Redhat, CCNA, CCNP
