Lead Architect (Enterprise Architect – Technology)

Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is a private organization jointly owned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and The Hong Kong Association of Banks. The Company’s key objective is to develop and operate a safe and efficient multi-currency and multi-dimensional financial infrastructure in Hong Kong for: large-value interbank fund transfers denominated in HKD, USD, Euro and RMB; interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via the linkages with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and the HKMA’s Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) system; small-value interbank fund transfers denominated in HKD and RMB via the HKD and RMB Faster Payment System; and interbank clearing and/or money settlement of paper cheques and various types of electronic payments in Hong Kong. The Company is also the operator of the HKMA’s CMU system. Apart from interbank clearing-and-settlement services, the Company and its subsidiaries also support the HKMA and the financial industry to foster the development of the financial technology (“FinTech”) ecosystem in Hong Kong. We are looking for a suitable candidate to take up the following job position. Lead Architect (Enterprise Architect – Technology) Major Responsibilities Develop enterprise technology architecture strategy and roadmap, such as infrastructure and cloud-native solution adoption, with solutions recommendation to align with the Company’s business strategies, enterprise application and security technical roadmap Work together with enterprise application and security architects, subject matter experts and solution architects to develop and execute the Company’s enterprise architecture (EA) strategies including formulating target states and roadmaps for enterprise architectures on technology domains, and devising migration strategies from legacy to modernized environments Review technology solutions and architecture design proposals providing technical advice and guidance to project teams to facilitate proposals submission to Architecture Review Board Define and advise on institutional architecture standards, principles, design patterns and reference architectures for infrastructure technology domains to support the IT modernization Assess emerging technologies for solutions recommendation based on business needs and market trends to facilitate the continuous development of architecture strategies and roadmaps Work together with domain experts to maintain the EA repository by mapping business capabilities, system dependencies, applications, data flows and technology lifecycles Collaborate with security architects and the Risk Management team to ensure security-by-design, zero-trust architectures and strict compliance with standards (e.g. ISO27001, CSTAR), regulatory frameworks (e.g. the Protection of Critical Infrastructures (Computer Systems) Ordinance) and cyber-resilience requirements Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) Requirements University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior enterprise architect role and 5 years in solution architecture, preferably in financial institutions Solid experience developing EA frameworks, strategies and roadmaps aligned with business, application and security strategies Experience in the development of solution architecture across virtualization, cloud platform, network with related security, middleware (e.g. messaging, API gateway) or modernized workspace, etc Strong technical knowledge and deployment experience across technology domains Proven ability to assess emerging technologies with solutions recommendation Positive attitude and a strong commitment to quality delivery Strong communication, analytical, presentation and documentation skills Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage How to Apply Interested parties please send your curriculum vitae stating your current and expected salaries, and contact phone number to the Human Resources Division, Unit B, 25/F, MG Tower, 133 Hoi Bun Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon or by clicking the " Apply Now " button below: All applications and personal information collected will be treated in strict confidence and only be used for the purpose of recruitment and selection.
