Our client is a growing retail organisation seeking a Management Accountant to join their supportive finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who has built strong accounting foundations and is ready to take the next step. You may be newly qualified or have a few years of post-qualification experience and be looking for a role that will broaden your exposure and accelerate your development. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll support the delivery of accurate financial reporting and analysis while gaining exposure to a wide range of finance activities. You’ll work alongside experienced team members and build relationships across the wider business, developing both your technical and commercial capability. As you grow into the position, there will be opportunities to take on greater ownership and contribute to improvements across finance processes and reporting. Key Responsibilities • Assist with month-end reporting and analysis • Prepare financial information and provide analysis of monthly results • Support budgeting and annual business planning activities • Assist with year-end, audit and tax compliance requirements • Help develop and improve financial reporting processes • Maintain documentation of key finance processes • Provide financial and analytical support to the wider business • Build relationships with stakeholders across finance and other teams • Provide support across the broader finance function as required About You This role will suit a newly CA/CPA qualified accountant or equivalent who is in the earlier stages of their career and looking for an opportunity to broaden their experience. You’ll ideally bring: • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent (or close to completing) • Some experience within financial or management accounting • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Sound technical accounting knowledge • Confidence working with financial data and Excel • Exposure to, or an interest in, financial modelling and commercial analysis • Good communication and relationship-building skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop You don’t need to have extensive Management Accountant experience. More important is having a strong accounting foundation, your professional qualification and the appetite to step into a broader role and continue developing.
