We are looking for Full-Stack Developer (Java) to work on Insurance Core Platform — Motor & Property Lines, Quotation, Renewal & e-Policy 4+ Years of of professional software development experience with Java (Spring Boot and/or Java EE) and Front-end experience with Angular or Vue.js 9am-6pm Hybrid work (3 days on-site in office at Ploenchit Tower, Chitlom BTS) Soilfish is a Bangkok-based software house delivering development and support services to leading insurers. We are expanding our onsite team working on the core general insurance platform of a multinational insurance company — covering motor insurance (quotation, renewal, registration/claim flows), property insurance (e.g., flood coverage), and e-Policy systems, all integrating with the client’s core insurance service. You will join an established Soilfish squad embedded in the client’s Agile delivery process. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance web applications (front/back-end, more focus on back-end) for motor and property insurance modules — quotation, renewal, and e-Policy. Build and maintain REST APIs (Java Spring Boot) that integrate with the core insurance system and its Oracle PL/SQL layer. Maintain and troubleshoot legacy Java applications running on JBoss/WildFly application servers, including server configuration and deployments. Develop and modify PDF/report templates (Jasper Reports) for policy schedules and certificates. Participate in daily scrum, backlog grooming, and requirement clarification sessions with client business and IT teams (via MS Teams). Support SIT/UAT cycles: implement fixes, walk through unit test results with stakeholders, and resolve defects tracked in JIRA. Join production deployments and cutover activities (occasionally outside business hours) and provide incident fixes for live systems. Follow the client’s engineering workflow: JIRA-linked Git branching, conventional commits, code review on GitHub Enterprise, and artifact management via Maven/Nexus. Coordinate with partner vendor teams (frontend, QA, and core-system teams — including overseas members) on API contracts and integration testing. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Business, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience with Java (Spring Boot and/or Java EE). Hands-on experience with Java application servers — JBoss/WildFly strongly preferred (Tomcat/WebSphere acceptable) — including standalone configuration and WAR deployment. Solid SQL skills on Oracle Database; ability to read and debug PL/SQL packages is a strong advantage. Front-end development experience with Angular or Vue.js (the platform uses both); newer modules may adopt modern JavaScript/TypeScript stacks. Experience in insurance or banking domain systems is a strong advantage; prior hands-on work on a general insurance core system is a significant plus. Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, JIRA, and Git-based team workflows. Able to read and write English well (documentation, email, and specifications are in English). Able to complete the client’s onboarding process, including mandatory compliance training and background verification. Comfortable with hybrid working and onsite days at the client office in central Bangkok; available for occasional evening deployment windows. Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and a good team player; can start September–October 2026.
