WeedeN was established in Thailand in 2022 and is now the #1 retail cannabis brand in the country, operating 50+ boutique stores across Bangkok, Phuket, Samui, Krabi, and Pattaya. We are scaling toward 75+ stores in 2026 and building an integrated ecosystem that spans retail, clinics, digital platforms, and distribution. Our slogan is “Cannabis Freedom.” We are not just opening shops. We are building the future of this industry. Our Vision To be the most trusted and loved cannabis retail brand in Southeast Asia, combining responsible consumption with elevated customer experiences that set a global standard. Three Core Pillars • Responsible Consumption: We prioritize the well-being of our customers above all else. Every product, every interaction, every recommendation reflects this commitment. • Elevated Experiences: Cannabis is about embracing joy and finding moments of delight. We guide customers to a state of mind where joy knows no bounds. • The Spirit of Joy: We spread happiness and positivity through every encounter with our products and our people. Why Work With Us • 100% legal and secure. We have professional doctors and clinics in our business, guaranteeing a safe, long-term workplace. • A friendly, experienced team that loves solving interesting challenges and sharing new skills. • Global vision. We are already known in the US, Europe, and Asia, and work closely with international partners. CULTURE: HOW WE WORK (MANDATED STANDARDS) These are not aspirational values. They are mandatory operating standards for the Business Development Department. Every team member is evaluated against these behaviors. • Continuous Improvement: We constantly elevate our processes and the quality of our work. It is standard practice to think ahead and anticipate the next two steps. If you are not improving, you are falling behind. • Attention to Detail: There are no small things. High precision, focus, and thoroughness are built into the foundation of every daily task. Sloppy work is not tolerated. • Fast Sync: We value each other's time and project momentum. The standard is to reply across all channels within a couple of hours. This keeps workflow smooth and truly agile. • Team Support: Any major success is a shared achievement. Our culture is rooted in a readiness to always step up and support colleagues. We only succeed together. • Proactivity and Persistence: Mere execution is common. We bank on proactive thinking. Giving up is not in our vocabulary. If one approach fails, we analyze, keep trying, and always find an alternative. Working at WeedeN also means embracing a startup mindset: we move fast, adapt quickly, and build as we go. Transparency is non-negotiable. We share openly, give and take direct feedback, and put the customer first in every decision. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Hard Skills • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (equivalent practical experience also considered). • 3+ years of hands-on IT experience. Retail or multi-location experience strongly preferred. • Hands-on technical depth across: ◦ Networking: LAN/WAN/WiFi setup, troubleshooting, VPN, firewalls, access points (Ubiquiti / Meraki / similar). ◦ Cloud & identity: Google Workspace or equivalent, MDM, SSO, MFA, account & permissions management. ◦ Endpoint management: Windows / macOS configuration, MDM tools (Intune / Jamf / similar), patching, backups. • ERP & POS systems: familiarity with Odoo (or comparable ERP like SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics). Ability to manage vendor implementation projects — write requirements, coordinate external developers, run UAT, validate deliverables. You don't develop the ERP yourself, but you control quality and timeline. • In-store hardware: experience deploying and maintaining digital signage / TVs, WiFi networks, IP cameras, sensors (temperature, humidity, motion). • AI / modern tools (mandatory — this is a deal-breaker): ◦ Strong, daily use of AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) at an advanced working level — not basic prompting. You design multi-step workflows, chain prompts, and integrate AI into daily operations. ◦ Hands-on builder with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot). You have already shipped working things with AI — internal tools, automations, scripts, integrations, data pipelines. Be ready to show examples in the interview. ◦ Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, basic Python or JavaScript for glue code and IoT data pipelines — written by you with AI assistance counts. ◦ AI cameras / computer vision and IoT integration experience preferred but not required — what matters is the proven ability to learn fast and ship. • Cybersecurity & compliance: endpoint protection / EDR (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Bitdefender, or similar), network segmentation, access auditing, backup and disaster recovery procedures, incident response playbooks. Hands-on PDPA Thailand implementation across retail operations, including consent management, data subject requests, and vendor data processing agreements. • Vendor management: experience working with external IT vendors, internet providers, hardware suppliers. Comfortable reviewing contracts and SLAs. • Team & contractor coordination: prior experience managing or coordinating people and external contractors is required — even if informal or small-scale (2–3 people, vendor management, project leads). • Confident user of Excel/Google Sheets for budget tracking, asset inventory, reporting. Soft Skills • Hands-on builder mindset. This is a player-coach role, not a delegator role. You set up systems yourself, fix issues yourself, and only later hand off. If you want a role where you “only manage” — this is not it. • Self-starter and system builder. You walk into half-built infrastructure and bring order to it. You write your own SOPs. You don't wait for instructions. • Strong English communication (written and spoken) — to coordinate with foreign management. Working Thai is a strong plus for vendor and store-level coordination. • Customer-service mindset toward internal users. Translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders (store managers, cashiers, finance team). • Calm under pressure. POS goes down on a Saturday — you stay structured, escalate clearly, fix fast. • Ability to coordinate remote team members and contractors — set priorities, dispatch tickets, train, evaluate. • Willing to travel to islands and regions for quarterly check-ins and during new store openings (5–10 trips per year typical). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. IT Infrastructure & Network Management • Own the company's full IT infrastructure: HQ office, warehouses, and 50+ store locations (scaling to 75+ in 2026). • Maintain and improve network architecture (LAN/WAN/WiFi/VPN). Define standards so every new store opens with a predictable, repeatable setup. • Manage cloud services (M365 / Google Workspace, Azure AD or equivalent), domain, DNS, email infrastructure. • Define and enforce permissions and authorization roles across all systems. Run quarterly access audits. 2. In-Store Hardware, IoT & Innovation Rollouts • Own all in-store IT hardware: POS terminals, WiFi access points, IP cameras, digital signage / TVs, printers, payment devices, network switches, IoT sensors. • Plan and execute rollouts of new technology: AI traffic cameras (foot count, heatmaps), IoT sensors (temperature, humidity) with API integration into our internal databases. • Pilot and evaluate emerging tech for retail; recommend what to scale across the network. • Coordinate hardware lifecycle: deployment, refresh, decommissioning. Specify procurement needs to the Procurement team. 3. ERP (Odoo), POS & Retail Systems Oversight • Act as the company's owner and quality controller for the Odoo ERP implementation and ongoing development. • Manage external Odoo vendors and contractors: gather requirements from operations, finance, and BizDev; brief developers; track progress; run UAT; sign off deliverables. • Ensure POS, ERP, inventory, and financial systems are tightly integrated, with reliable data flow and reporting accuracy. • Troubleshoot and resolve POS and ERP issues at store level with minimal downtime. 4. Maintenance, Support & Asset Management • Run a structured ticketing system. Ensure 95% of incidents are resolved within SLA (4h critical, 24h standard). • Coordinate the on-call schedule between BKK, Samui, and Phuket to cover store operating hours including weekends. • Maintain runbooks and store-level network/equipment documentation. Every store has a known, documented setup. • Build and maintain a complete IT asset inventory (98%+ accuracy). Track every device by location, serial, owner, lifecycle stage. 5. Security, Compliance & Data Protection • Implement and maintain security: endpoint protection, patching, MFA, access controls, network segmentation, backups, disaster recovery. • Ensure full PDPA Thailand compliance in all data handling. • Run quarterly security audits. Maintain incident response procedures. • Manage onboarding and offboarding of staff (account creation, equipment provisioning, prompt revocation on departure — critical for retail with active turnover). 6. AI & Automation (Core Focus) • Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.) to build internal scripts, dashboards, integrations, and data pipelines — without depending on a separate dev team. • Identify processes that can be automated (reporting, inventory checks, document generation, data extraction from sensors and cameras) and ship them. • Train and enable other departments to use AI tools effectively in their daily work. • Evaluate new AI / ML solutions for retail use cases and recommend pilots. 7. Team Coordination & Vendor Management • Coordinate 2 regional IT specialists (Samui, Phuket) — dispatch tickets, set technical standards, review their work quality, mentor on complex issues. Run weekly 1:1s and a weekly IT team sync. • Manage Bangkok IT support through external contractors and outsource partners — set SOPs, monitor quality, track SLA. • Source, evaluate, and coordinate IT vendors (specify needs; Procurement team handles formal purchase). Maintain a list of recommended technical partners. • Coordinate with internet providers, hardware suppliers, software vendors, external developers on ongoing technical relationships. • Visit each region in person at least once per year for infrastructure audit and team coaching. 8. New Store Opening Support • Provide Operations team with clear, illustrated IT setup guides so they can execute on-site installation without IT presence. • Validate and sign off final IT readiness before each store opening — POS, network, cameras, signage, sensors all operational. • Pre-configure all hardware in advance so on-site setup takes no more than 3 business days. • Coordinate with Construction Manager on handover timing and on-site IT requirements. 9. Budget Tracking & Reporting • Track operational IT spend against the annual budget approved with the Procurement team. Flag variances exceeding 5% to leadership. • Submit weekly IT status reports: uptime, open incidents, project progress, risks, blockers. • Coordinate with the Procurement team on IT equipment ordering — you specify what's needed; they execute the purchase. • Coordinate closely with Construction (new store handover), Operations, Finance, BizDev, and Marketing. • Participate in the weekly leadership review. 10. Compliance • Sign and adhere to the company's Conflict of Interest declaration (renewed every 6 months). • Disclose any personal, family, or financial relationship with potential or active IT vendors and contractors. • Follow the company's tender procedure: minimum 3 vendor proposals for any IT contract above approved threshold. • Cooperate with quarterly audits of IT vendor selection and contract execution.
