Job purpose: · In the Cluster Delivery Organization, Business Specialists, Business Experts, Engineer Specialists, Engineers, and Product Owners work together in a team. Agile methods help employees perform their functions by enabling a fast and flexible response to changing conditions and customer needs through an iterative approach and continuous development of new solutions. · This job is for an End-to-End Database Infrastructure Engineer for Linux systems used by database’s IT infrastructure, including the development and implementation of digital strategies, OS image Automation ( Ansible / Service Broker/Terraform /CICD, RHEL-AAP,etc) for On-Premise or Cloud IaaS platform deployments, OS product lifecycle management, version Control, infrastructure operation and maintenance, security compliance and continuous optimization of Automation processes and systems aligned with regulatory and quality standards; · The engineer has profound orientation in Linux operating systems, infrastructure components and tools needed to run databases and acts in the role of the Cell Member together with Database administration cells. · The engineer has an agile and digital mindset that always adapts to the current requirements using the appropriate development options. Key activities (approx. 6-10)*: · Development and implementation of database specific Linux operating systems processes for platforms that hosts databases, ensuring platform database services, processes and supporting components are performant and providing data integrity, availability, security and scalability · Application and further development of the necessary Linux components and operating systems modules with their corresponding automation workflow for the enhancement or construction of new future-oriented digital architecture according to the database vendor’s requirements · Participate in a cross-functional team to complete all the tasks required to deliver the relevant products, services, processes and systems · Product portfolio management and control, implementation and further development of one or more products, services, processes and/or systems throughout the entire lifecycle in a team, taking into account quality standards. · Continuous optimization of uniform, efficient, process-organizational concepts · Development, further development and transfer of technical and process-related as well as IT-technical knowledge on the subject under responsibility · Design and implementation of agile quality assurance and risk management · Conduct analysis and create concepts based on market, trend and competitive observations · Create context for other engineers and relevant stakeholders of work-in-progress code through demos and showcases · Customer and interface management, including requirements analysis, consulting and support for the central functions and clusters with regard to the topics responsible · Ensuring internal and external requirements, particularly with regards to regulatory, reporting, compliance and audit, within the scope of the issues under responsibility and using best practices · Operation, maintenance and maintenance of the database Linux infrastructure as well as providing advanced support for relevant systems, data maintenance, reporting and authorization management · Adherence to security standards and ensure stable operation with respect to products, services processes and systems · When improving products, services, processes and/or systems, IT accessibility/software ergonomics is taken into account with regard to the objectives of the Commerzbank Inclusion Action Plan Formal education: · University/University of Applied Sciences or equivalent professional experience · At least 5 years of professional experience · Experience in IT operations; has own responsibility for systems and/or complex processes Qualification & Experience · Programming with Python, Git, CI/CD (like TeamCity, Jenkins...), Ansible, Programming Vendor APIs such as Red Hat Satellite API, Azure, GCP APIs, Google tool kit, MS Defender for Endpoint Linux · Familiarity with Software Development lifecycle, testing concepts, version control systems, and release management in RHEL or Oracle Enterprise Linux · Experience in Oracle Database Release management, installation concepts and their corresponding operating systems requirements. · Experience with Oracle’s Automatic Storage filesystem Management (ASM) implementation and it’s operating systems integration modules and SAN integration. · Experience with SRE practices primarily around Everything-as-Code (EaC) including documentation, secrets management, and Infrastructure-as-Code · Ability to read, understand, debug and implement templating languages such as jinja2 · Understanding of Software Architecture methods to write scalable and maintainable software for automation · Good knowledge of either Red Hat Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, SALT, Puppet · Plan and deploy all Oracle Enterprise Linux ( or RHEL) database servers in production based on the defined processes · Active maintenance and updating of productive systems using Artifact registry repository · Ensure 2nd and 3rd level support for the database IT systems under responsibility · Documentation of the systems used (Asset Database Comin) · Good Oracle Enterprise Linux ( or RHEL) Knowledge.
