IT Project Manager (Banking)

About the role We are looking for a seasoned IT Project Manager to take ownership of complex technology initiatives within a leading organisation in the finance sector. In this role, you'll drive projects from initiation through to closure, working closely with business and technology stakeholders, vendors, and steering committees to ensure successful, on-time and on-budget delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to make a real impact in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Key responsibilities Develop project charters, confirm objectives and scope, and set up project steering and working committees Oversee end-to-end project implementation including planning, risk management, quality control, financial management and resourcing Monitor project deadlines, assign responsibilities, and track progress against milestones Manage relationships with vendors and sub-contractors, ensuring SOWs are delivered on scope and time Provide status reporting to key stakeholders, including cost tracking and resource management Ensure project deliverables are compliant with IT standards, SDLC standards, and governance policies Remediate audit findings in collaboration with IT Security and IT Audit teams About you 8-15 years of Project Management experience, with a solid background delivering medium to large scale IT projects Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology or a related field PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred Strong leadership, people management and stakeholder engagement skills Analytical and strategic mindset with a proven track record in complex organisations Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, with the ability to work independently Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project Benefits Competitive salary Opportunity to work on high-impact projects within the finance sector Supportive team environment with access to mentorship and guidance Career progression opportunities through Tentacle Tech's growing project portfolio Exposure to complex, large-scale IT initiatives with leading enterprises About us Tentacle Tech is an IT and software development consulting company serving some of Malaysia's largest enterprises.
