HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIANS – NATIONWIDE OPPORTUNITIES ACSL Group is growing, and we’re looking for experienced HVAC Service Technicians to join our team across New Zealand. THE ROLE As an HVAC Service Technician with ACSL, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, repairing and installing a wide range of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Your day-to-day work will include: Diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC faults and providing practical solutions Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing Attending breakdowns and responding to customer service requirements Repairing and replacing HVAC components and equipment Installing and commissioning new HVAC systems Working on a variety of commercial and residential HVAC equipment Reading drawings, specifications and technical information Identifying opportunities to improve system performance and reliability Providing clear technical advice and recommendations to customers Maintaining accurate service reports, job notes and documentation Working safely and in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and company procedures Maintaining a professional relationship with customers, suppliers and other contractors Representing ACSL professionally while working on customer sites WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for technicians who are more than just good at fixing air conditioners. We want people who take ownership of their work and understand the importance of doing the job properly. You’ll ideally have: A recognised HVAC/Refrigeration trade qualification 3+ years’ experience working as an HVAC Service Technician Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, controls and refrigeration principles Experience across a range of commercial and/or residential equipment The ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions Excellent communication and customer service skills A professional attitude and pride in your workmanship Good attention to detail and the ability to complete accurate service documentation A strong commitment to health and safety A clean, current New Zealand driver’s licence The ability to work as part of a team while also being comfortable working autonomously A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important to us as your technical ability.
