Service & Valet Technician Aquanort Pools | Marlborough | Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm Bring the shine to Marlborough’s most beautiful pools. We are trusted to look after some of Marlborough’s most beautiful pools, and we take pride in providing exceptional service and keeping our clients’ pools looking their absolute best. We are growing our team and are looking for a Service & Valet Technician to join us. This is a hands-on, practical role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in a job well done and has the initiative to get stuck in and solve problems. As a Service & Valet Technician, you’ll be responsible for keeping our clients’ pools and spas clean, healthy, sparkling and ready to enjoy all year round. What you’ll be doing Your days will be varied and practical, including: Testing and balancing pool and spa water chemistry Cleaning and maintaining swimming pools and spas Vacuuming and brushing pools, including tiles and walls Cleaning skimmer and pump baskets Removing leaves, debris and other unwanted material Cleaning pool surrounds and common plant equipment areas Checking pumps, filters, covers and other pool equipment Identifying and reporting potential equipment or pool issues Carrying out basic troubleshooting and problem solving Providing friendly, professional service to our clients Keeping your vehicle, equipment and work areas clean and organised Working efficiently to complete your daily service schedule Taking pride in the small details that make a big difference In short: you’ll be the person who makes sure our clients’ pools look fantastic and are working the way they should. What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who is: Practical and hands-on – you enjoy figuring things out and getting stuck in Reliable and self-motivated – you can work independently once trained A problem solver – you look for solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do Detail-oriented – you notice the little things and take pride in a high standard of work Physically capable – this is an active, outdoor role Comfortable working outside in all sorts of weather Friendly and professional – you’ll be representing Aquanort with our clients every day A team player – you're willing to help others and contribute to a positive team culture Willing to learn – you don't need to know everything on day one Proud of your work – you understand that presentation and attention to detail matter Must have A current New Zealand driver licence – minimum restricted, with a full licence preferred Ability to drive a manual vehicle Ability to work independently and unsupervised once fully trained A practical, common-sense approach A willingness to learn and develop new skills A good level of physical fitness for an active, hands-on role Ideally, you’ll also have Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following: Pool and spa servicing Irrigation Plumbing Pumps and filtration systems Water treatment Mechanical or maintenance work Landscaping or other hands-on outdoor work Previous pool industry experience is an advantage, but it is not essential. If you’re practical, switched-on, have great customer service skills and are keen to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
