Business Development Manager

Cathay Subsidiary Services consists of several independent departments that provides professional services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company'), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, HAS by Cathay and Vogue Laundry. For this role in the Customer and Commercial department, the selected candidate will focus on sales and business development, primarily for Cathay Dining. The candidate will be responsible for building a robust sales pipeline, which includes prospecting new leads, acquiring new customers, and identifying cross‑selling opportunities. This position reports to the Head of Commercial. Key Responsibilities Achieve commercial goals and targets as set out for assigned portfolio. Create and drive new business strategy. Build sales pipeline, prospect new leads and drive customer acquisition. Drive brand awareness through trade engagement. Attends tradeshows, events or seminars. Owns end-to-end customer acquisition process - prospecting, acquisition, contracting and onboarding. Prepares business proposals for customers in collaboration with internal stakeholders in response to RFQ, RFI and RFP or other business enquires as required. Cross functional collaboration with key stakeholders e.g. Account Management and Commercial Excellence teams to drive pricing and contract strategies. Perform any projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management. Requirements Degree holder in business administration or other related disciplines. Minimum 8 years of experience in airline catering sales, retail F&B sales, or business development, including 5 years at supervisory level. Knowledge of airline catering, retail F&B chain, or hospitality ops will be advantageous. Results-focused, process-oriented with strong commercial acumen. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Self-starter, innovative. Ability to multi-task and manoeuvre independently. Analytical, ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Good communication skills, effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to lead a small team.
