Job Advertisement: Sports Coach Position: Full-Time Sports Coach Organization: Stars Sport Location: Singapore Employment Type: Permanent, 44 hours/week (including weekends as required) Stars Sport is a leading sports development center dedicated to nurturing athletic talent and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. The Role We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and passionate Sports Coach to join our dynamic team. You will design and deliver training programs, assess athlete performance, and foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages continuous improvement. You will work closely with athletes, parents, and other staff to ensure each individual reaches their full potential. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead engaging training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Develop seasonal and long‑term athletic development plans, including technical, tactical, physical, and mental components. Conduct individual and team assessments to track progress and adjust training accordingly. Provide constructive feedback and motivation to athletes, promoting sportsmanship and discipline. Ensure the safety and well‑being of all participants during practices and competitions. Coordinate with other coaches and support staff to align training methodologies and team strategies. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding athlete development and upcoming events. Stay current with the latest coaching techniques, sports science, and safety regulations. Assist in organizing tryouts, tournaments, and community outreach programs. Qualifications & Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Recognized coaching certification (e.g., NCCP, UKCC, or national equivalent) is mandatory. Minimum 5 years of coaching experience in a competitive or developmental setting. Strong knowledge of at least one primary sport (e.g., soccer, basketball, swimming, athletics) with versatility to assist in other sports. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Current First Aid and CPR certification. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Clean criminal record check and child protection clearance (if working with minors). Desirable Assets Experience coaching athletes with disabilities or special needs. Familiarity with performance analysis software and video feedback tools. Multilingual abilities (an asset in our diverse community).
