About the role As a Specialist-Direct Purchasing(Engineer) at BMW Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., you will play a key role in the Purchasing for Motorcycle parts and inventory management operations. Reporting to the Purchasing team, this full-time position is located in Rayong and will involve managing the Purchasing of direct materials and components essential for the production process. What awaits you? Manage BMW Plant Network pricing for Motorcycle parts suppliers serving for BMW Plant Rayong. Analyze and negotiate prices for a wide range of automotive components, including powertrain components, electrical systems, chassis parts, and interior/exterior trim. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and inventory levels to inform purchasing decisions. Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings. Develop and implement procurement strategies to support production targets. Monitor and report on key procurement metrics to drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ensure that the international privilege (FTA) and local privilege (TAI) are maintained. What you should bring along? Bachelor's degree in Engineering or international business background ,Supply Chain Management, or a related field Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the automotive industry, preferably within international purchasing or supplier management. Experience in Material planning and shortage management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Basic understand of SAQ 5.0 or relevant, ISO/IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
