Electronic Security Technician

Allied Alarms Limited are currently looking for an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our Timaru team. We are seeking a reliable, motivated and skilled Electronic Security Technician to join our team in Timaru, providing installation, maintenance, and support for a range of electronic security systems. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Whether you're already experienced in the security field or you're an electrician interested in switching gears, we want to hear from you! You will play a pivotal role in our team maintaining systems, ensuring initial installs are of our expected high quality. This role includes hands on field work learning and covering servicing, repairing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining electronic security equipment in the fields of: Intruder Detection Systems CCTV Systems Access control systems Gate automation systems Duties will include, but are not limited to: Installing, servicing and maintaining security systems Testing and repairing circuits and sensors Examining systems to ensure proper functioning and to diagnose malfunctions You'll also need: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work with people with varying levels of ability Efficient time management and prioritization skills A positive and energetic approach A team player who takes initiative.
