Business Development Specialist Division / Department: Business Development Division — Product Development Department Location: Greater Bangkok, Thailand (Nonthaburi) Reports to: Head of Product Development About Us: A Trust Franchise in Consumer Finance Ngernturbo Public Company Limited (TURBO) is a consumer finance company listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Strip everything away and we are three things: a balance sheet that lends and gets paid back, a distribution machine that finds the right borrowers, and a trust franchise in a market that distrusts lenders by default. The Business team exists to decide what the company sells, to whom, at what price, and on what economics — across lending, insurance, and new ventures — and to be accountable for whether those decisions were right. The Role: Own the Bet The Product Development department is the innovation hub of the company, responsible for the entire product lifecycle. It translates market insights and customer needs into a competitive and profitable portfolio of offerings, including title loans, a curated suite of insurance products, and new business opportunities. This department ensures that every initiative is not only desirable to customers but also aligned with the company's financial goals and risk appetite. Key Responsibilities: Driving Growth and Profitability New Product & Business Development: Identify and evaluate opportunities for new products, segments, and business lines. Develop each into a decision-ready business with a clear target customer, value proposition, revenue model, and defined success and exit criteria. Product Profitability & Unit Economics: Track and manage the commercial performance of each product you own — acquisition cost, pricing, payback period, retention, and margin after credit cost — and translate the numbers into pricing and product decisions. Portfolio Performance Management: Review product performance against business targets on a regular cycle and recommend clear commercial actions: scale what performs, restructure what underperforms, and discontinue what no longer earns its place in the portfolio. Go-to-Market & Commercialization: Prepare every product for market: simple product constructs, clear selling points, and sales materials and training that enable branch staff and channels to present the product accurately and confidently. Customer Lifecycle & Cross-Sell Programs: Design and execute lifecycle, renewal, and cross-sell programs that grow customer lifetime value — driving repeat business, renewals, and referrals through genuinely competitive offers and well-timed engagement. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment: Work with Legal and Compliance from the design stage of every initiative to ensure all products, pricing, and communications meet legal and regulatory standards before going to market. The Ideal Candidate: Someone Willing to Put Their Name on a Bet We are looking for a commercially sharp, analytically honest professional who has taken at least one real bet from idea to market — and reached a verdict on it. Required Experience & Qualifications Proven Professional Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years in business development, corporate development, strategy consulting, or venture building, with a clear trajectory of increasing ownership. Strong Educational Foundation: Graduated from business school, engineering, or a very related field from a reputable university. An MBA is a plus. End-to-End Deal Experience: You have personally taken at least one commercial deal or new business initiative from start to launch — this role begins where the slide deck ends. Financial Modeling Ability: You can build a venture P&L from scratch: revenue drivers, cost structure, unit economics, and the assumptions that break it. Your bets are judged on gross profit, and so is your analysis. Essential Qualities & Skills A Builder's Mindset: You are energized by zero-to-one work. Ambiguity doesn't paralyze you; it's where you do your best work. Commercial Instinct: You evaluate every opportunity through its commercial fundamentals — who the customer is, what they pay, what it costs to serve, and whether the margin holds at scale. You are drawn to work that creates measurable profit, not just activity. Analytical Rigor & Intellectual Honesty: You let data beat enthusiasm — including your own. You will kill an idea you love when the numbers say so, and defend an unpopular one when they don't. Ownership & Follow-Through: You treat every bet as if your own money were in it. When a launch hits friction, you run toward the problem. Unquestionable Integrity: You negotiate hard but always fairly. Trust is the moat of this business, and you protect it in every conversation — especially the ones nobody sees. Forward-Thinking & Tech-Fluent: You stay current with emerging technologies, particularly AI, and use them to research markets faster, model scenarios sharper, and spot opportunities others miss.
