The Opportunity We are looking for a Mid Level Full Stack Procedural PHP Developer to join our Systems Team and help maintain and enhance our large legacy codebase. Reporting to the Team Lead and working under the strategic direction of the COO, you will write procedural PHP code, sometimes working with OOP. You will creatively solve business problems. You will check and reply to emails from other team members. Internal tools that keep the business running Integrations with the systems that manage stock, orders, and customers You will collaborate with the dev team whose long term goal is to modernise the codebase. What You Will Do Maintain our large fully custom procedural PHP codebase Front end (HTML/CSS/JS) and back end (PHP/MYSQL) development Deliver internal website features, internal tools, and system improvements Write clean, reliable procedural PHP code Programming of internal reports and systems Work with the COO and dev team on architecture, priorities, and technical decisions Troubleshoot production issues and own fixes from diagnosis through to deployment Non-Negotiables (Must Haves) Minimum 5+ years of mid-level Full Stack Procedural PHP development experience Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery Experience with responsive web design Experience with API integrations Experience with MySQL databases/queries Proven track record of shipping reliable code at pace in a production environment Comfortable working across the full lifecycle: scoping, building, testing, and deploying Ability to communicate effectively with remote, non-technical staff Ability to adjust priorities to achieve real-world outcomes for the business, at the expense of beautiful code and best practice Strong problem-solving abilities e.g., integrating with new applications, automating workflows, and speeding up processes Ability to work from our office based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Monday to Friday Great If You Also Have Experience with the Materialize CSS framework Experience with Git Experience with MVC frameworks and OOP Experience integrating with ERPs, CRMs, or inventory systems Basic photoshop skills for basic image editing / manipulation.
