Accounts Payable Officer More Than Just Invoice Processing | AP Automation | Career Development We are looking for a reliable, detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. This is more than a traditional AP role. You will be involved in the end-to-end Accounts Payable process , working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure purchasing, receiving, invoicing and payment processes run smoothly. You will also have the opportunity to participate in AP automation, finance system improvements and AI-supported finance initiatives , gaining practical experience with new technology and smarter finance processes. About the Role Key responsibilities include: Processing supplier invoices and matching them with POs and receiving records Checking GL codes, cost centres and GST treatment Preparing supplier payments Performing supplier statement reconciliations Following up missing invoices, credit notes and discrepancies Maintaining accurate supplier records Working closely with Purchasing, Warehouse, Import, Farm and other departments Reviewing outstanding POs and AP items Assisting with month-end reconciliations and reporting Supporting AP process improvements and internal controls Participating in AP automation, system enhancement and finance digitalisation projects Assisting with testing and implementation of new finance tools and automated workflows About You We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, accurate and proactive . Ideally, you will have: Previous AP or accounting experience Good understanding of the AP process Experience with supplier reconciliations and payments Good knowledge of POs, invoice matching and GL coding Good Excel skills Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage priorities and work independently A willingness to learn new systems and technology An interest in AP automation, finance systems, process improvement or AI Experience with ERP, accounting or AP automation systems is an advantage, but not essential .
