The IT EUC Engineer is responsible for the implementation, support and continues improvement of the organisation’s IT Infrastructure. This role play a critical part in ensuring the stability, security and scalability of core infrastructure services while providing dedicated support for strategic business initiatives such as M365 and Zscaler. Metacloud Sdn Bhd [201401018154 (1094241-V)] Responsibilities: Support and maintain core IT infrastructure including workstation, servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backups, operating systems, and data center environments. Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and capacity to ensure high availability and reliability. Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for infrastructure-related issues. Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of infrastructure components. M365 Platform Support & Continues Improvement Provide ongoing operational support for Microsoft 365 services (e.g Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID). Drive continues improvement, optimization, and adoption of M365 capabilities in line with business needs. Support identity, access and endpoint management integrations (e.g directory sync, conditional access, Intune). Work with vendors and internal teams on enhancements, troubleshooting and service improvements. Zscaler & Security Infrastructure Support Act as as dedicated internal support resources for Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) operations. Support onboarding, policy configuration, access troubleshooting and post-deployment stabilization. Work closely with security teams to ensure secure connectivity and compliance with security standards. Assist in investigating and resolving connectivity or application access issues related to Zscaler. Project Delivery and Change Management Support infrastructure-related projects, migrations and technology refresh initiatives. Participate in planning, implementation, testing and go-live support for new infrastructure and security solutions. Execute infrastructure changes in line with change management and governance processes. Prepare technical documentation, runbooks and operational handover materials. Patch Management Plan, schedule, and execute regular patching for workstations, servers, operating systems, network devices, security tools, and endpoint environments. Monitor patch compliance and ensure all critical vulnerabilities are remediated within required timelines. Coordinate with application owners and internal teams to assess patch impact, conduct testing, and ensure smooth deployment with minimal business disruption. Maintain patch documentation, deployment records, rollback plans, and compliance reports. Continuously improve patch processes through automation, best practices, and proactive vulnerability management. Work with security teams to address high‑risk or zero‑day vulnerabilities and ensure timely remediation across the infrastructure. Requirements: Minimum a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Systems/Computer Studies or any related field. Minimum 5 years of related experience. One year contract role. Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: Have technical proficiencies in: - Strong experience in IT infrastructure support (workstations, servers, virtualization, storage, backup and OS). - Hands-on experience supporting or administering Microsoft 365 environments. - Expose to security or network security access solutions (Zscaler, VPN, firewall or similar technologies). - Experience in working in operational support and project-based environments. - Good understanding of IT service management and change control processes. - Cloud services, i.e., Azure, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS. - Active Directory, DFS, and DNS. - Networking and security, next-generation firewalls, load balancers, and switching (CISCO, Palo Alto preferred). Storage a problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional certifications in any or a combination of the technical proficiencies above are an advantage. A good understanding of information security concepts and best practices is compulsory. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-starters are able to work independently, display initiative, and are keen to take responsibility. Adaptable to changing environments and needs. Able to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities and deadlines. Able to communicate and set the right expectations for solutions with customers and also internal cross-functional teams.
