About the role The Yard gym Unley is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Head Coach & Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team in Unley. This is a fulltime position that combines coaching expertise with operational support, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional fitness experiences to our members whilst ensuring our facilities run smoothly. You will be at the heart of our operations, supporting both our coaching programmes and day-to-day business activities. What you'll be doing Delivering engaging and effective TYG sessions across various disciplines, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our members at an exceptional standard Running ongoing PD workshops for staff and members Supporting the scheduling and coordination of classes, sessions, and member bookings Assisting with facility management tasks, including equipment maintenance, cleaning protocols, and safety compliance Contributing to member engagement and retention through excellent customer service and communication Helping with administrative duties such as member registration, payment processing, and record keeping Supporting the marketing and promotion of fitness programmes and special events Collaborating with other team members to maintain a positive and motivating atmosphere Ensuring all health and safety standards are consistently met across the facility What we're looking for Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness or Diploma/University Degree equivalent or higher Demonstrated experience in delivering fitness coaching or instruction within a commercial or community setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse audiences Excellent organisational and administrative abilities Proficiency with basic computer systems and fitness management software (training provided if necessary) A genuine passion for fitness, health, and helping others achieve their goals Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, split shifts and weekend shifts What we offer At The Yard Gym Unley, we value our team and offer a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing and professional development: Competitive fulltime salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Access to complimentary facility memberships and fitness classes Ongoing professional development and coaching training opportunities A supportive and collaborative team environment Flexible working arrangements where possible Opportunities for career progression within our growing organisation A workplace culture that values wellbeing, inclusivity, and personal growth We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
