Financial Analyst

The Company Join a leading ASX-listed real estate funds management business with approximately A$20-22 billion of assets under management across Australia and New Zealand. Operating from modern offices in Auckland's city centre, the business manages a combination of single-asset investment vehicles and larger multi-asset funds, with responsibility for ongoing capital raises, acquisitions, disposals, and portfolio performance management. The Role This role reports to a Senior Finance Manager and is an integral member of the team of analysts responsible for a portfolio of investment funds. This is a commercially focused analyst position that combines technical accounting knowledge with strong financial modelling capability. Key areas of responsibility include: Managing financial analysis for a portfolio of approximately 10 property funds. Developing and maintaining complex financial models. Supporting the establishment of new funds and investment vehicles. Budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis. Evaluating acquisitions, disposals and capital transactions. Monitoring fund performance against budget and investment objectives. Cash flow forecasting and analysis. Preparation of board reporting and investment committee materials. Supporting quarterly reporting requirements for the ASX-listed parent company. Analysing lease structures, property performance and fund returns. Identifying opportunities to streamline modelling, reporting and analytical processes, including the application of AI and automation tools. Your Profile The successful candidate will combine strong accounting fundamentals with advanced analytical and modelling skills. Key will be the following attributes: Solid accounting foundation understanding with the ability to interpret a set of financial statements Advanced excel & financial modelling capability Experience in Budgeting, forecasting & scenario modelling Strong commercial and analytical thinking Ability to communicate financial insights to senior stakeholders. Preferably experience in Financial services, property and Funds. CA/CPA preferred The company has a hybrid 4/1 policy. This will suit a dynamic professional looking to grow their career.
