A highly respected national client-side project management consultancy is seeking a Junior Project Manager with 1-3 years-experience, to join our Canberra CBD based team. This role is designed to challenge your understanding of the construction industry and help you gain skills to develop your career as a project manager in the construction and property development space. This opportunity will provide project experience across various sectors to encourage the expansion of your knowledge of project lifecycle & delivery and equip you with the necessary skills to become a future leader in the construction and property industry. We are: A highly respected consultancy, proudly servicing some of the nation’s largest property owners and managers for 25 years A mid-sized firm with projects Nationwide to circa $250M Active across most property sectors with an enviable repeat client base Looking to grow our presence in the ACT off an already impressive active workbook Ideally you: Have recently graduated in Construction Management or alternative degree relevant to the construction industry Are looking to continue your career in the construction industry with the intention to grow and expand your skillset Have industry experience working for a Contractor/Subcontractor Are a team player, willing to provide support across projects for a variety of project leads Have strong communication and general IT skills with a focus on MS Word & Excel Are well presented with a positive attitude and enjoy developing meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients Take pride in the standard and timing to which you complete given tasks Have the ability to take direction and the initiative to proactively assist the project team Are Canberra based or have a desire to return home Key Responsibilities: General project administration under the guidance of the project managers, including but not limited to: -Managing the upkeep of project cost plans and contract administration documents -Assisting in the engagement of consultants and contractors through populating, compiling, and issuing tenders and agreements -Assisting in the management of consultants/contractors -Attendance and minute taking at design / construction meetings -Assisting with Contract administration Add value to projects and make a positive impact on their delivery through the application and development of your skills and knowledge gained through university study Promote a collaborative and supportive work environment Commit to organisational and individual activities that deliver high levels of service quality, productivity, innovation, and teamwork Commit to building great relationships with all stakeholders and understanding the contributing factors that deliver client satisfaction and repeat business Commit to established business processes and practice diligence to ensure accuracy and consistency across all projects Please send your CV and cover letter to patrick.rumble@apg.com.au
