At SoftwareOne, we help organizations modernize their technology landscape through cloud adoption, database transformation, and managed services. We are looking for a Database Solution Architect to join our Regional Service Delivery Center (RSDC), supporting customers across APAC by designing, delivering, and optimizing cloud-based database solutions that drive business outcomes and operational excellence. As a Database Solution Architect, you will work closely with customers, architects, and technical teams to design and implement PostgreSQL database solutions in cloud environments. You will provide strategic guidance, lead migration and modernization initiatives, and help customers improve performance, resilience, security, and scalability across their database platforms. Your key responbilities: Design and architect PostgreSQL database solutions in cloud environments for customers across APAC. Lead database modernization and migration initiatives, including IBM DB2 to AWS Aurora PostgreSQL transformation projects. Facilitate customer workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements. Provide expertise in database architecture, performance optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and backup strategies. Work closely with cloud architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, and DevOps teams to deliver successful solutions. Deliver consulting services, technical recommendations, and solution roadmaps that help customers maximize the value of their database platforms. What we need to see from you Strong expertise in PostgreSQL architecture, administration, and performance optimization. Experience designing and implementing database solutions on public cloud platforms, particularly AWS. Knowledge of database migration, security, high availability, disaster recovery, and replication strategies. Ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders and translate requirements into practical solutions. Strong consulting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead discussions, influence decisions, and drive successful customer outcomes.
