From high-end residential mechanical setups to large-scale commercial ducting installations, we have immediate starts and long-term work available for skilled installers who take pride in clean, accurate setups. What You’ll Be Doing Reading mechanical drawings, duct layout plans, and job specifications. Assembling, hanging, and fixing spiral, rectangular, and flexible ducting systems. Installing HVAC components, fans, dampers, grilles, diffusers, and heat recovery units. Measuring, cutting, and modifying ductwork on-site for custom fits and tight spaces. Sealing and insulating ductwork to meet building standards and efficiency requirements. Assisting with the rough-in and final commissioning prep on commercial and high-end residential sites. Adhering strictly to site safety guidelines and working safely at heights (scaffolding/MEWPs). What We’re Looking For 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC, sheet metal, or mechanical duct installation. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and site layouts. Proficient with hand and power tools specific to HVAC/sheet metal trades. Comfortable working at height, on scaffolding, or using elevated work platforms (MEWP/EWP ticket is a bonus). Solid understanding of NZ site safety practices. Valid NZ driver’s license and reliable transport. Own hand tools and basic cordless kit (preferred).
