Server Administrator

We are looking for a competent and self-driven System Administrator to manage and maintain APU's Enterprise Digital Infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for server administration, cloud operations, identity management, automation, and security across our hybrid on-premises and cloud environments. Responsibilities: 1. Server & Infrastructure Administration Enterprise server installation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance Directory services management — user accounts, group policies, access controls Core network services administration — name resolution, IP management, file distribution Virtualisation management — provisioning, live migration, and high availability clustering Web application server hosting and configuration Storage management — SAN/NAS and backup administration 2. Cloud & Hybrid Environment Cloud identity management — federation, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access control (RBAC) Cloud virtual infrastructure — compute, networking, storage, and load balancing CI/CD pipeline design and management Container orchestration and image registry management Cloud monitoring, logging, and performance alerting Secrets and certificate lifecycle management Endpoint and mobile device management (MDM) Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) provisioning and management Cloud governance — policy enforcement, compliance auditing, and cost management Backup and disaster recovery management across hybrid workloads 3. Scripting & Automation PowerShell and PowerShell DSC — Windows environment automation and configuration enforcement Unix/Linux shell scripting (Bash) — cross-platform automation and task scheduling Infrastructure-as-Code for automated provisioning and configuration management Workflow automation — event-driven responses and self-healing operations API integration for automated ticketing, alerting, and reporting 4. Security & Compliance Endpoint detection and response (EDR) management Least-privilege access enforcement and privileged access management MFA and Conditional Access policy implementation Regular vulnerability assessments, patch management, and backup/recovery drills Compliance with ISO 27001 , ISO 21001 , and PDPA requirements Requirements: Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field Minimum 1–2 years of experience in systems or cloud administration Strong hands-on experience in scripting — PowerShell and Unix/Bash are mandatory Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Cloud Administrator Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Microsoft Certified: Hybrid Server Administration Identity and Access Administrator Certification ITIL Foundation Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
