Business Insight Officer

Role Overview TIRD delivers Business Insight services — including interactive dashboards, pivot data analytics, market ranking reports, and industry newsletters — to non-life insurance companies across Thailand. The Business Insight Officer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing these data products and services to empower client decision-making across the industry. 1. Dashboard & Data Product Development ● Design and maintain interactive dashboards tracking insurance rates, market share, and financial performance ● Develop Pivot Table Analytics tools for executive-level analysis of claims and risk ● Maintain Market Ranking Reports by market share, premiums, and growth rate 2. Market & Industry Analysis ● Analyze insurance industry trends, premium movement, claim ratios, and competitive positioning ● Prepare Industry Analysis Newsletter covering market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks ● Monitor insurance rate data across products and regions for market expansion insights 3. Reporting & Data Analysis ● Prepare business performance reports across Sales, Claims, and Financial dimensions ● Design and maintain databases for report preparation and analytics services ● Analyze data on assigned projects in collaboration with internal teams 4. Client & Stakeholder Value ● Translate insurance data into actionable insights for client decision-making ● Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., OIC, TGIA) to ensure data quality ● Other tasks as assigned Qualifications ● Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields ● 2–5 years in data analysis or reporting; insurance industry preferred ● Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas) ● Hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboard building, DAX, data modeling); familiarity with Tableau is a plus ● Understanding of non-life insurance products and market structure in Thailand ● Strong communication skills; able to present to non-technical audiences ● Good command of English (reading/writing) for report and newsletter preparation Technical Skills — Must-have vs. Nice-to-have ○ SQL — Required: needed to query and extract data from internal databases for reporting and analytics ○ Python or R — Nice-to-have: an advantage for statistical analysis and process automation, not mandatory
