About the role Are you an experienced Class 4 Driver with chip sealing experience looking for more than the same local route every day? We're seeking a motivated operator to join a busy surfacing team delivering roading projects throughout Canterbury and the Southern Lakes region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting out on the road, seeing different parts of the South Island, and being part of a crew that takes pride in delivering quality work. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll play a key role in chip sealing and road maintenance operations across a variety of locations. No two weeks are the same, with projects ranging from local road renewals through to major infrastructure works. Key responsibilities Supporting chip sealing operations Operating Class 4 vehicles Assisting surfacing crews Working on road maintenance projects Travelling when required About you Current NZ Class 4 Licence Previous chip sealing experience Good understanding of road surfacing operations Strong safety awareness Ability to travel for work assignments Benefits Away-from-home allowances Ongoing work Excellent team environment Variety of project locations
