Reporting to senior members of the Internal Audit team, the successful candidate will support and lead control assurance, risk management and internal audit activities across different business functions. This role is suitable for an experienced audit, risk, compliance or control assurance professional who is analytical, independent and comfortable working with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Participate in and lead risk-based internal audit assignments covering operational, financial and compliance areas to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. Provide practical advice on internal controls and risk management to business functions in relation to operational processes, procedures and control matters. Review periodic risk management reports prepared by external consultants, including key risk assessments, risk heat maps, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), risk tolerance parameters and risk mitigation progress. Independently monitor key enterprise risks and develop risk-based assurance testing plans to assess the effectiveness of mitigation actions. Follow up with senior management and department heads on remediation and risk mitigation actions, and escalate overdue or outstanding items where appropriate. Perform independent sample testing and substantive validation of Internal Control Self-Assessment exercises submitted by business functions. Assist in maintaining the organisation's inventory of material and key controls and develop periodic control-testing plans. Conduct control assurance testing and communicate findings and recommendations to the Internal Audit team and relevant stakeholders. Review risk management policies and related governance documentation prepared by external advisers. Collaborate with other assurance providers and lines of defence to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of assurance activities. Build and maintain effective working relationships with business units, risk owners, senior management, external consultants and other relevant stakeholders. Support other control assurance, risk management and internal audit assignments as required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law or other relevant disciplines. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Control Assurance, Compliance, Risk Management or a similar function. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, HKICPA, IIA, CIA or equivalent are preferred. Solid knowledge of internal controls, control assurance, regulatory compliance and enterprise risk management. Familiarity with areas such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), ESG and Corporate Governance would be advantageous. Experience within retail, consumer goods, luxury retail or related industries would be an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Strong report-writing, interpersonal and communication skills. High level of integrity, professional ethics and sound judgement. Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure. Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
