Marketing Coordinator – Part Time - 3 days a week About Us Australia’s Golden Outback (AGO) is a Regional Tourism Organisation covering more than 50% of Western Australia, from dramatic outback landscapes in the Gascoyne Murchison, unique wildflowers in the Wheatbelt, history and heritage in the Goldfields, and pristine coastal escapes in Esperance. This undiscovered region is full of authentic off the beaten track adventures. We are a member based, not for profit organisation, working with regional stakeholders and the wider tourism industry to deliver innovative marketing campaigns to key target audiences, raising awareness of the region and driving visitation. Australia’s Golden Outback also implements Destination Development initiatives across the region to assist destinations and tourism operators. About the Role We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join our small, passionate team in Perth WA. In this varied role, you’ll support the Marketing Manager in the delivery and development of our membership communications, marketing activities and campaigns. This 3-day-per-week role offers the perfect balance for professionals seeking meaningful work with flexibility, whether you're looking for a better work-life balance, transitioning from corporate to purpose-driven work, or bringing your expertise to the tourism sector. Reporting This position reports primarily to the Marketing Manager of Australia’s Golden Outback. Key Result Areas and Duties Marketing – General Co-ordinate and implement marketing initiatives and activities Co-ordinate the delivery and implementation of AGO’s stand at the Perth Camping & Caravanning Show Assist with the coordination of any photo & video shoots in region Assist with the production of AGO’s Holiday Planner Create presentations and campaign reports as required Work collaboratively with agencies and other suppliers as required Digital Marketing Update and maintain the organisation’s website as required Creating and scheduling consumer and member EDMs Produce creative assets as required for use across digital platforms Membership Administration Liaise with members and potential new members on membership packages and other opportunities to maximise participation and increase engagement with Australia’s Golden Outback. Maintain regular communication with Australia’s Golden Outback membership, including the delivery of regular newsletters and updates. Work with the Marketing Manager to implement campaign buy-ins from members. Work with accounts to raise invoices as required Perform various administration duties as directed by the Marketing Manager & CEO. Requirements of the Position (or Selection Criteria) ESSENTIAL: 4+ years’ experience in marketing Experience creating lead generation campaigns in Mailchimp Experience using all Microsoft 365 applications, teams and SharePoint filing systems Experience with designing assets in Canva aligning with brand Experience making simple website updates, knowledge of CMS systems and the backend of websites Well-developed relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills High level of written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and to prioritise competing commitments Self-starter who is positive, energetic and results-driven Experience in supporting the delivery of multichannel marketing campaigns. DESIRABLE: Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Tourism Marketing or related fields Technical skills: Microsoft Office suite, Teams all major Social Media platform Knowledge of Australia’s Golden Outback– the region, its attractions and the tourism industry Practical experience in a travel or tourism-related field.
