Our client, a Japanese retail/wholesale company, is seeking for Japanese speaking Purchasing & Product Development Manager. Job Description: Lead international sourcing and private product brand development. Review import documentation and maintain close communication with Japan. Conduct market research and develop all aspects of merchandising process, direct import plans for Food, Fashion, Health & Beauty products etc. Communicate with local government departments on relevant matters. Report to the Director of Buying & Operations in Japanese. Develop new suppliers to strengthen buying operations. Manage and lead a team to achieve company goals and deliver value to business members while communicating closely with Japan Headquarters buying team. Requirement： Extensive experience in purchasing or management is required. Retail company background is preferred. Sourcing and merchandising knowledge or work experience preferred but not required. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese). Business level in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above). Good command of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Good negotiation and communication skills.
