Hub Teaching Lead (JC CoolThink Junior)

Position Summary: JC CoolThink Junior develops computational thinking among P1 to P3 students across 200 primary schools in Hong Kong and seven community CT hubs over Y0 to Y4 (Jun 2026 to Aug 2030), led by YCCECE for HKJCCT, with project partners CityUHK and ACTiCT. The Hub Teaching Lead delivers and supervises facilitated computational thinking sessions at the CoolThink Junior community hubs, manages hub equipment and part-time facilitators, and engages children, parents, and ICYSC staff to sustain a high-quality learning environment. Job Responsibilities: Deliver facilitated CT sessions at community hubs in ICYSCs, running 3 sessions per week per hub (1 weekday evening and 2 weekend sessions). Supervise and coordinate part-time hub facilitators, ensuring consistent session quality. Develop and refresh hub session content with the Resource Development Lead, implementing twice-yearly thematic rotations. Manage hub equipment including drones and UBTECH robots, ensuring safe setup, maintenance, and operation. Oversee self-service walk-in activities (around 20 visits per week per hub) and coordinate parent-child sessions (around 10% of sessions). Collect and report hub attendance, feedback, and observation records, and liaise with ICYSC social workers on scheduling and outreach. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Studies, or a related discipline. Experience in children's programme facilitation, community education, or youth services; STEM or CT familiarity preferred. Comfort with STEM and CT tools (drones, robots) and basic Microsoft Office. Ability to work flexible hours including weekday evenings and weekends. Strong interpersonal skills with children aged 6 to 9 and families. Willingness to be deployed across hub sites in the target districts. Proficiency in both English and Chinese. Salary and Fringe Benefits: Initial appointment will normally be made on a renewable 24+ months contract. Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.
