Costing and Budgeting Senior Manager

About the role: We are seeking an experienced Costing and Budgeting Senior Manager to join S.Khonkaen Foods Public Company Limited in our Bang Na, Bangkok office. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in driving financial excellence across our organisation. As Senior Manager, you will oversee all costing and budgeting operations, providing senior leadership and governance to ensure accurate financial planning, cost control, and budgetary management that directly supports our business objectives and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement and manage comprehensive costing systems and methodologies aligned with company objectives and industry best practices Establish and oversee annual budgets and forecasts, working collaboratively with department heads and senior management to ensure financial alignment Conduct regular variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgeted figures, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making regarding cost optimisation and resource allocation Lead and mentor the costing and budgeting team, fostering professional development and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality financial reporting Manage cost allocation methodologies across production departments and cost centres, ensuring fair and accurate distribution Prepare detailed costing reports and financial statements for senior management and board presentations Review and optimise cost structures to enhance operational efficiency and improve profit margins Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements across all costing and budgeting functions Collaborate with operations, production and procurement teams to understand cost drivers and identify areas for improvement Implement and maintain automated systems and tools to streamline costing and budgeting processes Job Requirements: Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting, costing management or related financial roles, with at least 3 years in a senior management capacity Strong expertise in cost accounting principles, methodologies including absorption costing, activity-based costing and variance analysis Proven experience in budget development, forecasting and financial planning within manufacturing or food production environments Advanced proficiency with accounting software systems and financial management tools; ERP experience highly desirable Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated experience managing and developing accounting teams Comprehensive knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations (Thai accounting standards and international best practices) Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to present financial information to diverse stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) are advantageous Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG sector is preferred
