Versatile Fabricator Role Metalworld is experiencing solid business growth, and this has resulted in the need to bring on board a versatile Fabricator Welder to join an already high performing team. With this continued upturn in work across a range of sectors, bespoke engineered metal solutions are provided to some of Christchurch’s leading companies. We want to hear from candidates who can tick the following boxes: · A minimum of three years’ experience in fabrication after having gained your trade qualification (minimum of Level 4 Fabrication) · Solid experience working with Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Mild Steel · Significant MIG and TIG welding experience, and laser welding experience would be advantageous · Considerable variety in terms of the work and projects you have completed · Proven team player qualities as well as being able to work independently · Solutions focused attitude with high attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement What are you going to be doing? · Cut, shape and weld from raw materials · Work from technical drawings and CAD models · Modify plans/processes when materials or designs change · Work on one-off type jobs, prototypes and complex fabrication projects · Trouble shoot equipment and product issues · Assembly · Finishing work · Quality Control · Assist with guiding junior fabricators and apprentices on their knowledge journey This is an excellent opportunity for someone to step up or into a senior role that offers professional development and career opportunities.
