About the Role We are seeking a capable and motivated Software Engineer with a strong programming and systems background to support application development, system enhancement, and data analytics initiatives. This role will be actively involved in enhancing our ERP platform NetSuite, developing dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, and supporting new automation and AI-driven solutions, including internal workflows and chatbot development. The successful candidate will participate in full software development activities, system integration, and end-user engagement to ensure effective and scalable technology solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop new software applications and customize existing systems to meet business requirements Support and enhance ERP workflows, reports, and integrations within NetSuite Perform business requirements study, system analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI Integrate systems and applications via APIs or other integration methods Participate in automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency Support development of AI-driven workflows and internal chatbot solutions Prepare, update, and maintain application and system documentation Conduct user training (functional and technical) to ensure effective system usage Provide support for system recovery activities when required Assist in daily system administration tasks, including maintenance, backups, and security controls Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent 1–4 years of relevant working experience in software development or related field Technical Skills (Must-Have): Programming: JavaScript, HTML (additional languages are a plus) Database Management: SQL, data modeling fundamentals Reporting & Analytics: Power BI or similar BI tools Experience with APIs, system integration, or data exchange Nice to Have (Advantage): Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite (SuiteScript knowledge is a plus but not required) Exposure to automation tools or workflow platforms Familiarity with Microsoft AI ecosystem including Azure AI Studio, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Machine Learning, and tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Power Automate for developing AI-powered applications, chatbots, and workflow automation solutions. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
