Culture and Community Bamara is a First Nation’s organisation, all staff are expected to participate in connection with community, respect relationships and apply this respect to each participant we work with across all diverse cultural backgrounds Salary and Benefits Generous salary 3 days bonus leave during the Christmas/New Year period Birthday leave Yearly Flu shot Retail and Entertainment discounts across leading brands through Flare Benefits program Opportunities to upskill with qualifications in Community Services Employee Assistance program for staff and their immediate families Access to our wellness partner program with C-5 First Nations Perspective training Rewards and recognition program Job Description The Youth Mentor TTW is responsible for mentoring youth and providing onsite assistance in the day to day operations of the Transition to Work (TTW) program through the driving and achievement of KPI's and program objectives Desired skills and Experience Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, organisations, and communities Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong administration skills Ability to meet and exceed outcome focused KPIs Promotional, marketing and representational and advocacy skills Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively Time management and organisational skills Advocacy and referral skills IT skills including working experience using Microsoft Office Suite Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment) Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check and/or Vulnerable Persons Check (ongoing requirement for employment) Experience working with disadvantaged cohorts (desirable) Experience working with Indigenous communities (desirable) Case Management experience (desirable) Drives licence
