Responsibilities as follows: Knowledge responsibilities: · Act as a “subject matter expert” in your area of expertise, sharing that knowledge with your team and colleagues. · Ensure you continue to develop your knowledge and expertise through your own “personal career development” and utilizing training and development offered by the company. · Act as an advocate for the company, promoting it internally and externally. This includes creating and managing any social media to “share, like and comment” on the company’s published content. HR Responsibilities: · Lead and develop members of your team utilizing the tools and processes developed by HR. · Ensure that the leadership and development of the people in your team/s is given sufficient time and focus. · Proactively act as coach and mentor to your team to enable them to improve their skills and knowledge. · Identify and resolve employee/team problems and conflict. · Support in the recruitment of suitable people for your team and the company as a whole. Functional responsibilities · Logistics Manager is to ensure that logistics in and out of the region are managed effectively to ensure smooth, on time delivery of products, supervise Logistics team and control day to day operations as well as coordinate with all product divisions against logistics requirement and related activities. · Develop and Maintain consistent processes for logistics · Develop and manage relationship with logistics suppliers · Implement logistics policy and working procedure to ensure smooth operations and high efficiency are achieved. · Monitor and control all operational aspects relating to the shipment of goods, measure performance against KPIs. · Provide consistent reports to customers (tracking, issue, delivery times, cost etc.). · Sales support · Working with each product division to support proper integrate Logistics function in all processes. · Provide sales and tender support in terms of ensuring the correct logistics solutions, pricing and timelines. · Liaise with customers when required by the sales and tender teams. · Technical Responsibilities: · Ensure to maintain up to date knowledge of suppliers both within the region and those outside supplying in to each destination. · Maintain up to date information on custom processes in the various markets. · Understand the key differences in shipping the range of product provided by RMA (i.e. automotive parts, vehicles, over size, equipment and etc). · HR Responsibilities: · Responsible for managing and developing the logistics team. Financial Responsibilities · Ensure the costs are managed and controlled. · Develop and manage a reporting tool for procurement, sales and tender (comparing estimates and actual charges). · Develop and manage a cost control tool to ensure that logistics costs are in acceptable level compared to the markets. Internal/ External Interactions Internal: · Directly responsible for ground logistics operations at factory. · Supervise logistics team and control day to day operations for export and import of vehicles, spare parts, equipment and others loading / delivering to and from factory and cooperate with all divisions against logistics requirement and related activities. External: · Manage relationship with logistics suppliers and negotiate with carriers / freight forwarders / shipping agents / LSP for freight pricing to all designated routes. · Manage relationship with government sectors i.e. Customs Authority, IEAT, Ministry of Commerce and etc. · Liaise with external suppliers / customers as necessary. Background and experience · Experience in handling projects / logistics into difficult markets (i.e. post conflict). · Able to work in a fast paced and changing business environment.
