System Analyst

The Senior System Analyst is responsible for leading system analysis and solution design for credit card and payment-related systems. This role works closely with business, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑availability solutions supporting card issuing, authorization, clearing, and settlement processes. Key Responsibilities : 1.System Analysis & Design - Lead requirement gathering for credit card products, operations, and regulatory initiatives - Analyze end-to-end credit card business processes including issuing, authorization, billing, and dispute - Translate business, risk, and compliance requirements into detailed functional specifications - Perform impact analysis for system changes, new card features, and scheme mandates - Design end-to-end system solutions integrating with card platforms and external networks - Define workflows, data models, message formats, and interface specifications - Review solution designs to ensure performance, security, and scalability - Collaborate with vendors and internal development team to integration architecture design - Act as subject matter expert for credit card systems during development - Clarify requirements and support development and integration testing - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning 2.Testing, UAT & Production Support: - Define test strategies, test cases, and UAT scenarios for card systems - Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business and operations teams - Support defect triage and root cause analysis - Assist in production rollout, cutover planning, and post‑implementation support 3.Governance, Security & Compliance: - Ensure systems comply with card scheme rules and internal controls - Support PCI DSS, data privacy, and security reviews - Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and scheme certifications 4.Documentation & Stakeholder Communication: - Maintain detailed system documentation, diagrams, and specifications - Present system designs and analysis to senior stakeholders - Support Senior Software Engineers in technical analysis, code walkthrough, and integration troubleshooting Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field - 6–10+ years of experience as a System Analyst or similar role - Hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot) development , coding, and conducting code walkthroughs for system analysis, troubleshooting, and issue investigation - Strong experience in credit card, payment, or card issuing systems - Experience working with credit card or payment gateways is preferred - Strong understanding of SDLC (Agile and Waterfall) - Solid experience with databases, SQL, and data modeling - Experience with system integration, APIs (REST/SOAP), and messaging (ISO 8583 is a plus), Rabbit MQ - Familiarity with UML, sequence diagrams, and ER diagrams - Understanding of security, encryption, and access control in payment systems Credit Card Domain Knowledge: - Credit card lifecycle (application, approval, issuing, authorization, billing, settlement) - Transaction processing, reconciliation, and dispute management - Card scheme rules and operational processes Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities - Leadership and mentoring skills - Ability to manage multiple initiatives under pressure - Able to communication effectively in English Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Visa, Mastercard, or UnionPay systems - Knowledge of PCI DSS and card security standards - Familiarity with microservices and high‑availability systems - Experience with cloud platforms (Huawei, GCP, Azure)
