The Opportunity The Arts and Culture team is responsible for delivering a dynamic arts and culture program that contributes to Western Downs' liveability. You will be responsible for leading and contributing to the planning, coordination, and delivery of a range of arts and cultural initiatives and programs across the Western Downs region. This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include: Planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating arts, culture and heritage projects, exhibitions and public artworks that build the cultural ecology of the region, and drive participation and audience growth. Facilitating projects, programs and opportunities that build regional cultural capacity and support professional development of artists, arts workers, and volunteers. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships and appropriate information and communication networks with industry stakeholders, community groups and internal stakeholders in relation to arts, culture, and heritage. About Yourself A person in this position will need to hold a relevant qualification in Arts/Business Administration, Cultural Development or in a related field OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. The successful candidate will have an interest, experience, and knowledge in the Arts, Culture, Heritage, and Cultural Development. The successful candidate is also required to have a current Queensland Driver's License and have, or be able to obtain, a National History Police Check, and a Working with Children Blue Card.
