About the Role We are seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team in Wellington. We have multiple options available across architectural, residential, and commercial sites. We have immediate packages ready to go, including: Lead / Top-Tier Carpentry Package: Taking ownership of a new deck and timber escape ladder build. Structural & General Carpentry: Onsite strengthening works. Detailed Maintenance: Restoration and maintenance work on older windows requiring an exceptional eye for detail. Whether you're looking to run a specific package or jump onto diverse commercial and residential sites, you will be a key part of our skilled team delivering premium-quality workmanship. What You’ll Be Doing Take ownership of specific carpentry packages, including building decks and new escape ladders. Carry out structural strengthening works on active job sites. Perform detailed repair, maintenance, and alignment on heritage/older timber windows. Study drawings and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation procedures. Order and select timbers and materials, prepare layouts, and cut wood joints. Cut materials, assemble parts, and erect frameworks, panelised systems, and roof framing. Lay sub-flooring, floorboards, fit fascia panels, exterior cladding, doors, and window frames. Construct concrete formwork where required. What We’re Looking For 2+ years proven experience as a carpenter or in construction-related roles. Exceptional attention to detail, especially for precise maintenance work on older fixtures/windows. Ability to work independently to run a package (deck/escape ladder) or collaborate within a team on strengthening works. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural plans, and specifications. Strong problem-solving skills and a solid work ethic. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
