Build your future with one of New Zealand's leading commercial refrigeration specialists. EcoChill is seeking a Refrigeration Apprentice to join our growing Tauranga team. The Role You'll gain hands-on experience across supermarket refrigeration, CO₂ refrigeration systems, food processing facilities, cold rooms, retail refrigeration, industrial plant and commercial projects while building the practical skills required to become a qualified Technician. Responsibilities: • Assist with planned preventative maintenance and servicing • Learn fault finding, diagnostics and repair techniques • Support the installation and commissioning of commercial refrigeration systems • Work alongside experienced technicians on supermarket, industrial and commercial projects • Follow company health & safety procedures and industry best practice • Progress through your apprenticeship programme • Develop knowledge of modern refrigeration technologies Candidate Profile We're looking for someone motivated to build a long-term career in refrigeration. Whether you're leaving school, changing careers or bringing experience from another trade, we'll provide the support, mentoring and training to help you succeed. You will bring: • A basic understanding and interest in refrigeration • Strong mechanical know-how and problem-solving ability • Positive outlook with a willingness to learn • Confident communication and people skills • Ability to take initiative and contribute positively to team success • Full New Zealand Driver Licence (or working towards one) • Current New Zealand work rights (residency or a valid work visa) Why EcoChill?
