Role Purpose This is a dual-impact role designed for a specialist who thrives at the intersection of material science and product formulation. You will be responsible for the seamless delivery of packaging solutions from concept to shelf, while spearheading the R&D efforts required to ensure product-packaging compatibility, stability, and innovative delivery systems. Scope Responsibilities: Create and develop packaging designs that meet product specifications, functionality, and aesthetic requirements. Partner with cross-functional commercial teams to ensure smooth execution of packaging to drive commercialization success. Research and select appropriate packaging materials (e.g., paper, plastic, cardboard, metal) based on factors such as cost, sustainability, and product protection. Conduct packaging tests to assess its performance under various conditions (e.g., vibration, shock, temperature, humidity). Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of packaging solutions, considering factors such as material costs, production costs, and transportation costs. Analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and make necessary modifications to the packaging design. Ensure that packaging complies with all relevant industry regulations, including household and personal products, safety standards, transportation regulations, and environmental regulations. Develop packaging solutions that minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability. Conduct research, develop, and improve confectionery product formulations to align with business strategies and market demands. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitors in order to propose new product concepts. Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and production departments in the commercialization of products. Required Skills and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Packaging engineer, product design or related field. Preferably 3-5 years of experience in packaging design and development. Manages multiple priorities tasks and projects efficiently. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to speak, read and write English.
