Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain enterprise Java applications. Build scalable solutions using Spring Framework and Spring Boot. Develop and maintain Java applications operating within J2EE environments. Support the modernisation of legacy Java applications and deployment models. Create, configure and maintain Docker images for Java applications. Deploy, manage and troubleshoot applications running within Docker containers. Configure and maintain Java builds using Maven and Gradle. Manage source code, branching and version control activities using Git. Develop and deploy applications across Tomcat and WildFly/JBoss environments. Required Qualifications and Experience Demonstrated experience working as a Senior Java Developer. Expert knowledge of Java and enterprise application development. Expert knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot. Expert knowledge of Git source control. Strong experience with Java build systems using Maven and Gradle. Significant experience with Docker containerisation. Experience creating Docker images and running Java applications as containers. Significant experience developing and deploying applications to J2EE application containers. Experience with WebSphere, WebLogic or comparable enterprise application servers. Essential hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat. Essential hands-on experience with WildFly/JBoss. Strong understanding of the services and functionality provided by J2EE containers.
