Builder / Maintenance Tradesperson Whitehall Fruitpackers – Waikato About us Whitehall Fruitpackers is a progressive horticultural company based in the Waikato. While our main focus is on our 300+ canopy hectares of green and gold kiwifruit, (with a strong focus on organics) we are involved in most primary production including dairy farming, dry stock, apiaries and forestry. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of compliance, food safety, and operational excellence. Whitehall Fruitpackers is seeking an experienced and reliable Builder / Maintenance Tradesperson to join our team. This is a varied, hands‑on role working across our orchard, packhouse, and residential properties. About the role This position involves a wide range of building and maintenance work, including: Repairing and maintaining existing structures Working on residential homes (both occupied and vacant) General building, renovations, and minor construction projects Maintenance and improvements across commercial and rural facilities Problem‑solving and carrying out practical fixes as required No two days will be the same — this role truly covers everything in between . What we’re looking for Proven experience in building or general construction Strong practical skills and the ability to work independently A good eye for detail and pride in quality workmanship Ability to plan work and adapt to changing priorities Reliable, safety‑focused, and well organised A current driver’s licence (essential) Trade qualification and/or site safe certification would be advantageous but not essential for the right person.
