Research Assistant

Applications are invited for: Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering Research Assistant (Ref: 260001AT) (Closing Date: August 30, 2026) Launched in 2019 by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the CUHK Jockey Club AI for the Future Project aims to mainstream AI education and foster a sustainable AI education ecosystem across Hong Kong secondary schools. The Project continues to empower educators, elevate community AI literacy, and prepare the next generation for an AI-driven future. The Project is recruiting a Research Assistant to assist in its assessment and evaluation of work. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree in Education, Statistics, or a related discipline; (ii) preferably at least two years of working experience; (iii) experience in qualitative and/or quantitative educational research; (iv) strong statistical and analytical skills; (v) excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Cantonese being an advantage; and (vi) the ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams. The appointee will assist supervisors in (a) conducting literature reviews in educational research; (b) data collection; (c) performing quantitative and/or qualitative analysis; (d) preparing manuscripts; and (e) preparing progress and evaluation reports. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
