Role Overview The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the dealership's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting senior leaders with timely financial insights. This role provides leadership to the administration and finance team while partnering closely with department managers to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities Lead the day today finance and administration functions of the dealership Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports Monitor business performance and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, taxation requirements, and company policies Manage balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls Work alongside departmental leaders to improve profitability and operational performance Support annual audit processes and external financial reporting requirements Lead, mentor, and develop finance and administration team members Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and business efficiencies What We're Looking For Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent is a must Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or senior accounting role Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical skills High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong leadership and people management capabilities Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business Commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial information into actionable insights Experience with dealership accounting systems would be advantageous but not essential Proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset Join Our Team If you're an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial leadership and wants to be part of a successful, well established organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
