Regional Dental Operations Manager | 9-Day Fortnight Step beyond single-site Practice Management into a senior multi-site leadership role across some of Perth’s established dental practices. There comes a point in a successful Practice Manager’s career when managing one practice is no longer the challenge. You know how to run a strong team. You understand the numbers. You can identify operational gaps before they become problems, and you know that the best results come from developing capable people rather than trying to do everything yourself. If that sounds like where you are in your career, this opportunity could be the next logical step. Attention To Dental is exclusively recruiting a Regional Dental Operations Manager to support and lead a portfolio of established dental practices across North Fremantle, Cottesloe and Claremont, with a further location expected to join the portfolio. This is a newly created senior position within an established national dental organisation and has been designed for someone ready to move beyond single-site management into a broader operational leadership role. You will not be stepping into the practices to replace their Practice Managers. You will be there to develop them, support them, challenge them and help each practice perform at a consistently high level. This Is About Leadership, Not Micromanagement The strongest person for this role will understand how to lead through others. Each practice has its own team, its own personalities and its own operational challenges. Your role will be to understand what each location needs, build credibility with the people already there and help their managers become stronger leaders. Some days that may mean working through performance issues with a Practice Manager. Another day it may be reviewing systems, looking at recalls, treatment conversion, patient flow or staffing efficiency. At another practice, the priority may be team development, communication or creating greater accountability. You will have the autonomy to identify what needs attention and the support to make meaningful improvements. The Scope Across the portfolio, you will be responsible for helping practices move from reactive day-to-day management toward more structured, proactive and commercially aware operations. Your focus will include: Coaching, developing and supporting Practice Managers Strengthening leadership capability across individual practices Improving systems, processes and operational consistency Reviewing performance and identifying opportunities for improvement Developing practical action plans and ensuring initiatives are followed through Supporting team performance, accountability and engagement Contributing to succession planning and leadership development Improving consistency across the patient and employee experience Supporting scheduling, recalls, treatment coordination, accounts and front-office processes from a leadership perspective Strengthening communication between practices and senior operational leadership Using your dental knowledge to identify practical solutions to clinical and operational challenges Supporting commercial performance without losing sight of patient care and culture This is not a desk-based corporate role removed from the realities of dental. You will remain connected to the practices, their managers, their teams and the patients they serve. Who Will Thrive Here? You may currently be an experienced Practice Manager, Multi-Site Manager, Business Manager, Practice Development Manager or Operations Manager within dentistry. What matters most is that you have reached a point where you can see beyond the immediate operational issue and understand the bigger picture. You know when to step in. You know when to coach. And you know when to hold someone accountable. You will bring strong Australian dental industry experience and a genuine understanding of how successful dental practices operate. Our client is particularly looking for someone who is: Highly organised and polished in their approach An exceptional communicator Calm and composed under pressure Commercially aware Proactive rather than reactive Comfortable having difficult conversations when necessary Confident holding managers and teams accountable Able to build trust quickly with established teams Flexible across different practice environments Strong on detail without becoming buried in it Capable of working with a high degree of autonomy Passionate about developing people Focused on finding solutions rather than simply identifying problems The brief for this appointment is very clear: they want someone professional, knowledgeable and capable, but also approachable. Someone who brings leadership without ego. What Makes This Opportunity Different? There are a number of things we think make this role particularly attractive. Firstly, you are inheriting established practices and established teams. You are not being asked to rebuild multiple struggling businesses from the ground up. Across the portfolio, average staff tenure is approximately five years, and the organisation places genuine importance on respect, culture and long-term team relationships. Secondly, you will have the opportunity to influence how this newly created position develops. You are not stepping into someone else’s way of doing things. There is room to bring your own experience, ideas and leadership style to the role and help shape how multi-site operations are managed moving forward. And finally, you have the backing of a national organisation, with access to senior operational leadership, mentoring and professional development while still remaining closely connected to individual practices. That combination is difficult to find. The Portfolio Initially, you will support practices across: North Fremantle – 3 surgeries Cottesloe – 5 surgeries Claremont – 5 surgeries A further practice is anticipated to join the portfolio. Across the broader group there are approximately: 15 Dentists 3 Hygienists 18 Dental Assistants 8 Reception team members Existing Practice Managers at practice level The scale of the role is important. You are not expected to personally manage every roster, patient issue or operational detail. Your job is to strengthen the managers who do. What Is On Offer? This is a genuine progression opportunity for someone who wants greater influence and responsibility without moving away from the dental industry they know. The position offers: Attractive remuneration aligned with seniority and experience 9-day fortnight Performance incentive / bonus opportunity Four-week structured onboarding Time working alongside individual Practice Managers and the Practice Development Manager Ongoing mentoring from senior operational leadership Further development in commercial and business management Exposure to a larger national dental organisation Genuine future progression opportunities The opportunity to influence multiple businesses rather than manage only one What You Will Need To be considered, you will require: A minimum of five years’ dental industry experience Strong Australian dental experience Previous Practice Management, multi-site or senior operational leadership experience Strong understanding of dental practice operations Dental4Windows experience Sufficient clinical knowledge to communicate confidently with both clinical and non-clinical teams Certificate III in Dental Assisting Police Check Flexibility to work across multiple Perth locations Typical operating hours are approximately 8:15am–5:30pm, with some flexibility required depending on operational needs. The role is permanent full-time and ideally suited to someone available to commence from September 2026. Thinking About Your Next Move? If you are already managing a dental practice successfully but know you are capable of contributing at a broader level, this role deserves a conversation. You may not currently have the title “Regional Manager” or “Operations Manager.” That does not necessarily matter. What matters is whether you have the leadership maturity, dental knowledge and commercial understanding to step into the position and influence several practices successfully. Attention To Dental is managing this appointment exclusively and all enquiries will be treated with complete confidentiality. Apply confidentially with your current resume and a brief outline of your leadership, Practice Management or multi-site experience.
