Are you highly organised, detail oriented and passionate about providing exceptional administrative support to a team of dedicated regulatory specialists? We're looking for a proactive and motivated Team Administrator to join our Environmental Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys variety in their work, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality administrative support that keeps the team running smoothly, supports compliance and legislative requirements and contributes to the delivery of outstanding services to our community. About the role Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services team through efficient, customer-focused administration. This varied role provides administrative support across a range of regulatory functions, including alcohol licensing, food registrations, Health Act licensing, bylaw compliance, animal control, and general team administration. You'll help ensure processes run smoothly, records are maintained accurately, and legislative requirements are met. Key responsibilities include: Provide daily administrative support to the team. Process relevant applications and issue licences once approved, ensuring all documentation information and legislative requirements have been accurately completed and met. Monitor correspondence to ensure matters are prioritised and addressed in a timely and appropriate manner Ensure data integrity through the accurate and timely filing of all documents Handle counter/telephone enquiries of a non-technical nature, files and other various enquiries Maintain relevant databases and templates, ensuring information is current, complete and accurate Process invoicing, reconciliation of payments, preparation of mandatory financial reports and invoicing to external agencies and follow up About you You're a proactive, organised and customer-focused administrator who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. You build positive relationships, exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and enjoy finding ways to improve systems and processes. You'll bring: At least 3 years' administrative experience, preferably within local government. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service. The ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence using technology. A working knowledge of SharePoint is desirable. An understanding of financial administration processes.
