Domestic Insurance Broking Opportunity

About the role: We’re seeking a confident and motivated individual to join our team in Hamilton as a Personal Lines Broker . In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in delivering personalised insurance solutions to our valued domestic clients. You’ll engage with clients via phone and email to understand their needs and provide tailored insurance coverage for their personal assets, including homes, contents, vehicles, boats, and more. With exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, you’ll naturally connect with people to service, develop, and maintain a well-established portfolio of loyal clients. Key responsibilities for the role include: Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored insurance solutions + Manage and resolve client enquiries (cover queries, policy amendments) Policy Management: Service renewals, new business, alterations and endorsements Risk Assessment: Provide expert advice on risk management strategies to protect clients and reduce their total cost of risk. Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters and other stakeholders to deliver optimal outcomes for clients. Compliance: Ensure all activities align with industry regulations and Gallagher’s high standards of integrity. Skills and Experience: The ability to build and maintain enduring relationships with clients and team members Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure Previous insurance experience in a broking / claims or similar role will be advantageous A certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5) NB: While you will need to be NZQA level 5 qualified with a Certificate in Financial Services we don’t expect you to bring this to the table. For the right candidate we will pay for and provide you with the support to gain your qualification through our study support program.
