ASME IX welder

About the role You will report to the Engineering Manager, and you will be involved in small to large scale projects, some of which will require overnight stays out of town. Some work will be with other welders, and other work will be with the company Service Engineers either as a welder or assisting in tasks undertaken by the company. You will have to work at heights, in enclosed areas, and in environments related to the sites being worked on. Key responsibilities Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements Communication with customers is of high importance, your ability to communicate is integral in this role Comply with all Advance Boiler Services ISO9001 & Health and Safety requirements Work weekends Work in confined spaces (such as boiler furnaces, steam and mud drums, and condensers) Adopt our mission statement and vision in all areas of your work Be a Leader in the industry we serve in About you Minimum of 5 years as an ASME IX welder for pressure vessel/boiler/pipe welder Able to work on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework Able to read engineering drawings Capable of organising materials and equipment for a job Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment Must hold a full driver's license (International will be excepted for 6 months only) Be self-driven and motivated to deliver excellence in your workmanship Overseas experience would be an advantage About us Advance Boiler Services (NZ) Ltd specialize in supplying and installing new boilers, steam and condensate pipework, manufacturing heat exchangers and economisers, and servicing pressure equipment mainly across the North Island region which can be Northland, Auckland, Waikato Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui and Hawke's Bay region as well as the Pacific Islands.
